Volunteering

We welcome volunteers in our school from helping in the classroom, chaperoning field trips, helping in the lunch room or on the playground or even just eating lunch with your child/grandchild. To ensure all students are safe the Diocese of Columbus requires all volunteers to have completed the Protecting God’s Children workshop and have fingerprints on file. Please see below for more information on how to complete this or contact the school with questions.

  • A current Bureau of Federal investigation background check

  • Documentation of attendance at a Protecting God’s Children workshop
    • St. Josephine Bakhita School is committed to the safety of our children. All school volunteers must complete the program. Click here to register for the program.

Bus Transportation

Click here to request a bus through the Columbus City Schools. No other districts provide buses to St. Josephine Bakhita School. Any other questions please contact the school.

Athletics

Athletics are offered for students in grades 4-8 through St. Josephine Bakhita Parish as part of the CYO. Offerings currently include:

  • Fall: Soccer (starts before school), Football, Volleyball and Cheerleading
  • Winter: Basketball
  • Spring: Baseball, Softball, Track & Field
